Torah of the Heart: One of the least employed yet most successful efforts for deep ecumenism is for Christians, Moslems and Jews to study texts that we all share – namely, the “Old Testament”.

Building on CLC's successful Torah Lishmah, this program invites seekers from all religious and spiritual paths to engage in spiritual inquiry through the doorway of Sacred Text. In Torah Lishmah, the intention is to share different/personal interpretations of the text being shared. In this monthly drop-in group experience, participants will enter through the text to discover their own access to the Divine and how their lives are guided by the deeper principles they encounter through this access. Experience with this form of inquiry shows that the deep inter-personal connection and sharing that take place are among the best tools for healing misunderstandings and fear of the “other”. This program will often be co-facilitated by one of the core faculty together with visiting teachers from other spiritual traditions.
